TIL that IPv6 is functionally broken and has been for years because Cogent is run by scumbags who are trying to extort the rest of the internet, and refuse to peer with anyone else like they are forced to do with v4, which means that you're either on the cogent half or the normal half of the v6 network space. and this hasn't been regulated away because the US is a trash fire.
if you're using cogent for anything, stop. they need to be put out of business.
